About Michael Diati

Michael Diati was born and raised in Western New York. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and his MBA from Canisius College.

Starting his career with FedEx at various locations, he quickly became known as a change agent. He wasn’t afraid to take on failing locations and turn them into corporate leaders. Building management teams and leadership training became A strong skill set. After a 19-year career in Corporate America, Michael moved on to work with a family-owned business.

Building a team and changing a family-owned trucking company into an International 3PL was his main focus for the next 16 years. Building relationships with more than 115 agents around the world was the key to turning a family-owned business into a $90 million International company.

Michael’s next challenge was to become the major stock owner of ASAP Delivery, a small local delivery company. Within four years ASAP was re-invented into a national Warehousing and Delivery company that was doing business with Ford Motor co, Fivebelow stores, and Pets Supply Plus stores. ASAP created a Retail Last Mile Delivery niche.

After selling ASAP Delivery, Michael started a company that was awarded a major delivery contract with FedEx ground. Michaels main focus with this company is to mentor his son and two other managers in Leadership and logistics.

Diati Management Group was started 5 years ago as a way to give back to young people starting their new careers. Training and mentoring in the fields of Logistics, International Sourcing, and Leadership. DMG offers companies virtual training and/or on-site training.

Michael’s most gratifying accomplishment was being an adjunct Professor at Niagara University for 12 years. Teaching International Supply Chain Management, International Sourcing and Corporate Leadership.
